CSS BigWoods Run & Gun 2025
Come shoot steel targets and get outside and push yourself! Challenge your shooting skills, put your gear to the test, and see what you’re made of. Targets out to 500 yards, food trucks at the event, and even a breacher door to end with a bang!

About The Event
Challenge Shooting Sports is hosting the BigWoods Run n Gun at The BigWoods on the Trinity Ranch in Tennessee Colony, TX. Saturday's event will consist of 8 shooting stations, a 10K course, and obstacles along the way. Sunday's event will consist of 6 shooting stations, a 5K course, and obstacles along the way. Prizes will be awarded to our top scorers from each event and also a few of our token holders - provided by our incredible sponsors!
Obstacles will include things like flipping tractor tires, crawling under barbed wire, and smashing through a steel breacher door.
Come join us for an epic weekend of shooting, competition, and comradery.
This event will be a 2-gun biathlon A.K.A “Run & Gun”. Competitors will navigate a set course of fire carrying both a rifle and pistol. The event will have unique obstacles, both natural and man-made along the course. Competition scoring will weigh shooting as 60% overall score and run time as 40% overall score.
More information regarding event specifics will be emailed out closer to the event date. The course of fire will not be posted prior to the race so that everything will be a true challenge as they come. Check out the ‘Competition Overview Page’ for more info on our events. (RO) Range Officer
Range Officers for this event will have free lodging and meals Friday-Sunday and will be able to run the course on Friday after the RO brief. ROs plan on arriving at the event location by 8am Friday May 2nd and plan on being at the event until around 6pm Sunday May 4th. Lodging will be provided as available.
