About The Event
Challenge Shooting Sports is hosting the 2nd BigWoods Run n Gun at The BigWoods on the Trinity Ranch in Tennessee Colony, TX. Saturday's event will consist of 8 shooting stations, a 10K+ course, and obstacles along the way. Sunday's event will consist of 6 shooting stations, a 5K+ course, and obstacles along the way. Prizes will be awarded to our top scorers from each event and also a few of our token holders - provided by our incredible sponsors!
Come join us for an epic weekend of shooting, competition, and comradery.
This event will be a 2-gun biathlon A.K.A “Run & Gun”. Competitors will navigate a set course of fire carrying both a rifle and pistol. The event will have unique obstacles, both natural and man-made along the course. Competition scoring will weigh shooting as 60% overall score and run time as 40% overall score.

Saturday - 10K
8 shooting stations along a 10K+ course. Prepare for an average of 50-65 rifle hits and 40-55 pistol hits needed to successfully complete the shooting stages. We recommend bringing 2-3x the amount of ammo to successfully engage the number of targets at the shooting stations. The distances of the targets vary, but the goal of the events is to challenge our competitors, so anticipate 7–50+ yard pistol targets, and 50-500+ yard rifle targets.

Range Officers for this event will have free lodging (pending availability) and meals Friday-Sunday and will be able to run the course on Friday after the RO brief. ROs plan on arriving at the event location by 8am Friday May 2nd and plan on being at the event until around 6pm Sunday May 4th. We welcome anyone able to join Wednesday and Thursday also.
